Fortress of Paleokastro

Palaiokastro, on the west side of the island, is the most important and oldest monument of Kastelorizo. It is an ancient settlement with many buildings and tanks. At the Doric acropolis of the 3rd century BC an inscription containing the term Megisti is preserved. In the area, in Limenari, there are the Cyclopean Walls.
