Old Village

The Old Village of Chalki is situated on a hillside, almost 2 kilometers away from the port of Emborios, while overlooking the Medieval Castle. At one time, it was the island's capital, where the inhabitants lived, to protect themselves from the raids of the corsairs and pirates. Today, it is an abandoned and uninhabited village where the ruins of ruined houses bear witness to the old glory of Chalki.
