Kanari Coast ranks among the most crowded beaches of Rhodes, as it is located in the heart of the island. The beach is sandy and pebbly and receives daily visitors, tourists from nearby hotels, as well as locals. Because of its central location, there are many places for food, coffee and drink around. It is organized and has the necessary facilities such as umbrellas, sun loungers, showers and parking spaces.
The visitor enjoys the sun, the water games and the stunning sunset during the afternoon.
The beach is also called Psaropoula beach, which reaches the Aquarium area. It got this name from ancient times, but is also called by other names, usually the name of the hotel, or the center in front of it. However, its main name is Akti Kanari, due to the avenue located parallel to the beach.
Access can be reached on foot, if you are in a nearby accommodation or in Rhodes town center just 10 minutes' walk away. It is also accessible by car, as there are several parking spaces near the beach. There are also bus stops around, if you prefer public transport.
Unfortunately, for the time being it is not accessible to people with disabilities as there are no adequate infrastructures yet.
